Old Church Road
We safely removed asbestos along with a full strip out of a fire damaged structure in London’s historic Old Church Road.
At TypeTen, we’ve worked on several projects where we are tasked with identifying and handling hazardous materials in a highly unsafe structure. We evaluate every difficulty, opportunity, and aspect in every project we work on, and we construct with every stakeholder in mind.
Appointing and managing specialist engineers and contractors, we employed specific methodologies to prop, survey, and clear contaminated areas under fully controlled conditions. The team fully managed the fire-damaged structure with scaffolding and façade retention, to create a safe way to systematically identify and deal with toxic material. After all asbestos and fire damaged structure was removed the remaining building was made safe with edge protection and hoardings.
Along with the potential for dangerous working conditions, work was completed in close proximity to local residents. We worked closely with the surrounding community to make sure the project was handled sensitively and safely.
